Classic Jazz FM, plus the apps, (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store), and our website (https://classicjazz.fm), do not collect any personal information, and do not share any personal information with any third parties.
There is no registration, login, sign-up, live chat or any requirement and facilitation to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, credit card information and address to us. None of this data is requested, collected, stored or shared. All services are free of charge and provided as-is.
Classic Jazz FM and Our Apps
The free Classic Jazz FM and Easy Jazz Network apps do not collect or process any personal data, including IP addresses. No personal information of any kind - either via text or within technical files - is requested, collected, used or shared. The apps do not conduct analytics and have no user accounts. In addition, the vast majority of app users are in North America with only a small number of listeners in Europe and elsewhere. As a result, article 27 of the GDPR does not apply.
Classic Jazz FM Website
Only the Classic Jazz FM website, located at: https://classicjazz.fm, hosted in Canada, tracks IP addresses of computers and networks tuned into the website. This is not related to our apps which use separate platforms. The IP addresses tracked for classicjazz.fm are used only for the following purposes:
1. Research: IP addresses are used to conduct research on what geographical areas are listening to the station and for how long via the website only. In addition, IP address collection allows the tracking of web browser types and operating systems to help us better serve our listeners from a technical perspective.
2. Security: IP addresses are monitored in order to combat spam, malware, malicious activities, fraud, and security risks which may pose a threat to the website servers. Classic Jazz FM has the right to block an IP address if it is found to be used for malicious or suspicious activity.
